Amazon has tightened enforcement of third-party Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) requirements for regulated product categories. Sellers can no longer rely on a grace period to list first and obtain compliance testing afterward—new listings in affected categories are now being suppressed immediately until approved testing is submitted.
What Changed
- No grace period: Previously, Amazon allowed sellers roughly one month to list an item before requiring test results. This buffer has been eliminated.
- Immediate suppression: New listings in regulated categories are now suppressed at launch if TIC documentation is not already in place.
- Direct submission required: Sellers must work with Amazon-approved TIC lab providers; test reports can no longer be uploaded directly by the seller. The TIC lab submits verified results directly to Amazon.

- Other categories with mandatory safety or compliance standards
